Welcome to the Lakota Retrievers website. This is where you will find News, Updates and Success Stories at Lakota Retrievers.

Lakota Retrievers has the philosophy of " Less is More." "Less" at Lakota Retrievers means we take a limited amount of dogs in for training. With a limited number of dogs, we are able to give them the individual time they deserve not only in the training field, but around the house. Having the dogs in the house as part of the family gives us the chance to build a stronger bond as well as monitor overall health and condition more consistently.  "More" means that because we take in a limited amount of dogs for training, we are able to spend more time in the field with each dog. This individual attention provides them with the training they need to continue on the track of more titles and achievements.

June 14, 2010  - NEW AKC Junior Hunter Title. "Dee Dee" Ch. Technique Mythic Deirdre, RN Dee Dee earned her final AKC Junior Hunter pass this past weekend in Ohio.

May 30, 2010  - NEW NSDTRC (USA) Working Certificate Excellent (WCX) Title. "Reckon" VERMILION'S RETRIEVER 2 B RECKONED WITH JH WCX  Reckon earned his WCX title at the 16th Annual Back Yard Classic in IL.

May 30, 2010  - NEW NSDTRC (USA) Working Certificate Intermediate (WCI) Title. "Rega" CH VERMILION'S RAH RAH RAMONA JH WC Rega earned her WCI title at the 16th Annual Back Yard Classic in IL.

May 30, 2010  - NEW NSDTRC (USA) Working Certificate (WC) Title. "Bonny" FOXVALE LITTLE RIVER BONAIRE PIRATE  Bonny earned her WC title at the 16th Annual Back Yard Classic in IL.

May 23, 2010  - NEW GRCA Working Certificate (WC) Title. "Honey" Nalyn's Private Passion Honey earned her WC title at the Golden Retriever Club of St. Louis test this past weekend. 

May 23, 2010  - NEW UKC Started Hunting Retreiver Title. "Shiner" SHR VERMILION'S XSP TEXAS TEASE.  Shiner earned earned his Junior Hunter title with four out of five passes. 

May 22, 2010  - NEW AKC Junior Hunter Title. "DAKOTA" SHR AKC/NSDTRC-USA CH Beinnbhreagh Foxvale's Defender of Everso JH  Dakota earned earned his Junior Hunter title with four out of five passes.

May 22, 2010  - NEW AKC Junior Hunter Title. "FLASH" SHR BearCreek Summerlite 2 Sharmik JH   Flash earned earned his Junior Hunter title with four out of five passes.

May 22, 2010  - NEW AKC Junior Hunter Title. "Cruz"   Cruz earned earned his Junior Hunter title with four straight passes. 

May 17, 2010  - NEW UKC Started Title. "Cruz"   Cruz earned earned his Started Hunting retriever title in four straight tests.

May 2, 2010  - NEW UKC Started Title. "Oz" Masters Moving Like the Wizard. Oz earned his Started Hunting retriever title in four straight tests.  The title was earned this past weekend with his owner Laura Stobie handling him.  Oz was trained by Lakota Retrievers and is currently getting ready for AKC junior hunter in the coming weeks.

April 28/29, 2010  - Training in Fremont, OH. These are actual client pictures taken during two days of training in Ohio.  

April 25, 2010  - NEW FCRSA WCX (Working Certificate Excellent) "Angus" lore All Time Hi RN CD MH WCX VCX CGC DDHF.  Angus passed the Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America Working Certificate Excellent test with his owner Bonny Joyce handling him.  Angus is currently with us getting ready for AKC senior work.

Buddy earned a Reserve JAM at the QAA.

April 11, 2010  - NEW AKC Master Hunter "Stony" HR, U-CD, AM CH Springcreek Everlore All Time Hi RN CD MH WCX VCX DDHF BOSS. Stoney earned his AKC Master Hunter title this past weekend

April 11, 2010  - NEW AKC Master Hunter "Euri" CanCH HRCH UH Vermilion's Eureaka Crossroads MH WCX Euri earned his AKC Master Hunter title this past weekend at the Backwater Retriever Club test in Albion, IN.  Euri is proudly owned by Max and Celia Hamilton.

April 11, 2010  - NEW AKC Senior Hunter "Torque" HR Vermilion's Twist'n Torque CD SH WCX . Torque earned his AKC Senior Hunter title this past weekend at the Backwater Retriever Club test in Albion, IN.  Torque is proudly owned by Kathy Como and her son Brody Como.

March 29, 2010  - Lakota Retrievers is Heading North for the summer. After a successful winter trip, Lakota Retrievers will be home in Mid-April. Several dogs have completed their training early and will be heading home.  If you are interested in getting your dog ready for this years hunt test season give us a call or e-mail paul@lakotaretrievers.com

March 28, 2010  - NEW UKC Started Title. March 13, 2010  - NEW UKC Started Title. "DAKOTA" SHR AKC/NSDTRC-USA CH Beinnbhreagh Foxvale's Defender of Everso. Dakota earned his Started Hunting Retriever Title at the Ravens Way Hunting Retriever club test outside of Madisonville, TX.
